CITY MANAGER – Dennis Stepke

The City of North Muskegon’s City Manager is appointed by City Council.  City Manager Dennis Stepke has been with the City of North Muskegon since 1980.  As City Manager he is the chief administrative officer of the city, responsible to the City Council for the administration of all city affairs and directs and supervises all city employees.  City Manager Stepke may be contacted at dstepke@cityofnorthmuskegon.com .

CITY TREASURER – Kristy Mattson

The City Treasurer is appointed by the City Manager and has custody of all monies, collects and distributes all taxes and assessments, keeps the city’s books of accounts and handles the utility billing.  Kristy Mattson has been the City Treasurer since 1992.  She may be contacted at kmattson@cityofnorthmuskegon.com.

CITY CLERK – Marcia Jeske

The City Clerk is appointed by the City Manager and is responsible for all publications, records and documents of the city and of all Council proceedings.  She conducts all city elections and maintains the city’s website.  Marcia Jeske has been the City Clerk since 2007.  She may be contacted at mjeske@cityofnorthmuskegon.com.

RECEPTIONIST

The Receptionist assists all city personnel in their respective duties, greets the public and answers the phone.  They are responsible for issuing licenses, permits and scheduling the rental of all city facilities and parks.  Currently, the City has two part-time receptionists:  Marlene Slorf and Dee Loudermilk.

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (DPW) SUPERVISOR - Randy Phillips

The Department of Public Works is responsible for city parks, streets, water and sewer maintenance and maintains all City vehicles.  Randy is responsible for supervising all DPW employees, daily scheduling of activities for staff, evaluating roads, parks, sidewalks and trees and reports his findings to the City Manager.  Randy began his employment in January of 2013 and may be contacted at rphillips@cityofnorthmuskegon.com.

POLICE CHIEF – Tom Korabik

The Police Chief represents the City of North Muskegon on local and state police boards/committees, is responsible for the staffing of full and part time police employees and manages the department.  Tom reports to the City Manager.  Police Chief Korabik has been with the city since 2002 and may be contacted at nmuskegonpd@aol.com.

FIRE CHIEF – Steve Lague

The Fire Chief is the only full-time employee of the City of North Muskegon Fire Department.  As such he is responsible for training and scheduling part time employees and assists in training throughout the State of Michigan.  Fireman Steve (as he’s known throughout the community) reports to the City Manager and has been with the city since 1984.  He may be contacted at slague@cityofnorthmuskegon.com.
