Can I park on any city street?

From November 1st to March 31st, there is no parking on any city street between the hours of 2 AM until 6AM, which is strictly enforced. Vehicles parked on the roadways during these months and hours will be cited.

What happens if my vehicle breaks down in the city?

If your vehicle breaks down, please advise us and we will not cite you. We have no way of knowing there is a problem unless you let us know.

Can I still park on the sidewalk during the winter?

The city plows sidewalks during the winter. Do not park your car across the sidewalk (which is a violation regardless), or you will be cited.

Can I park my motorhome on my front lawn?

Recreational vehicles, i.e. motor homes, boats, trailers, etc; are not permitted to remain on the front yard of your residence for a period of time exceeding 72 hours.

What is an "abandoned" vehicle?

We enforce the "junk or abandoned" vehicle ordinance. It states a vehicle is to be considered "junk or abandoned" if it is inoperable or unlicensed.

What do I have to do while walking my pet?

If you are a pet owner, make sure to clean up after your animal. The city has a leash law.

Are there ordinances against barking?

Dogs will bark, but continual barking disturbs neighbors. There is an ordinace against this. If your dogs disturb your neighbors by continual barking, you can be cited.
