The North Muskegon Fire Department is a combination department with a single fire station and employs one full time Fire Chief / Fire Marshal, with 15 paid on-call firefighters-Medical First Responders. Ice rescue is our specialty, with having rescued over 200 persons in our surrounding waters using a hovercraft. The Department responds to an average of 385 incidents per year and conducts 6 hours of training per month.
